There are four sections in total. The adagio brings out a brooding atmosphere, and then enters a lively allegro, introducing perhaps the joy of my childhood. Along with the joy there is also some unknown yearning flodding into my thoughts and overwhelming the melancholy. *This piece was completed in 1978 and premiered on the December 3rd of the same year at National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, by Lee Mei-ying and pianist Wu Han.
