This Intermediate Piano Solo explores the sonorities of the piano through long-held notes. Crux is the 88th constellation. It is the smallest of the 88, but it is one of the most well-known in the southern hemisphere. The cross shape is important in the myths of Australia, New Zealand, and South America. Because it is circumpolar it can be seen all year. *To play the Crux-shaped notes, play all four notes at once as a chord, using both hands. Keeping the pedal on as indicated allows the sonorities to continue to ring. Take your time.
