In the space of a few months, in the autumn and winter of 1789, Mozart filled more than 650 pages of a score that shows practically no signs of mental or physical exertion. The result was one of his most profound operas, Cosi fan tutte , which has held listeners spellbound with its blend of bitterness and comedy to the present day.

Our new easy-to-play vocal score is based on the volume edited by Faye Ferguson and Wolfgang Rehm for the"New Mozart Edition"(NMA II/5/18) and on the latest scholarly findings from the critical commentary published by Henning Bey and Faye Ferguson in 2003.

Not Hardcover
The music itself is excellent--what you'd expect from a Baerenreiter Urtext. My issue is with the product description which says Sturdy hardcover binding. When my copy arrived, it was softcover, so I was quite disappointed, but there wasn't enough time to order a new one, so unfortunately I'm stuck with it.

Gorgeous Score
As always with a Barenreiter, the score is pinpoint-accurate, and the printing is stunning; you can read every last detail in the music. The chorus individual chorus parts are spelled out too, whereas in the Schirmer SAT are on one staff, and B is on another, which makes it hard to follow, especially when coupled with Schirmer's subpar printing.Worth every peny!
