Can't Help Falling in Love" was recorded by Elvis Presley in 1961 for his soundtrack "Blue Hawaii." The melody was familiar to many because it is based on an old French love song "Plaisir d'Amour." In this String Trio Arrangement, the 1st Violin has the melody for the opening statement, then the Cello solos, then the 2nd Violin takes the lead - which makes for a very balanced arrangement. The final section is grand and majestic with the violin playing in its upper register and the cello playing exaggerated walking bass octaves. Very regal, indeed.
