SKU: A0.1556351

Composed by Reto Stadelmann. This edition: pdf. 21st Century, A Cappella, Classical, Contemporary, Multicultural, World. 4 pages. Reto Stadelmann Music #1128729. Published by Reto Stadelmann Music (A0.1556351).

For male choir and yodel soloist (ad lib.)

The work describes the beauty of Byzantium, with Byzantium functioning fictively as a geographical, cross-border region between the eastern Mediterranean, the Aegean Sea, and the western Black Sea. It roughly corresponds to the Byzantine cultural area of the 11th century. The work was composed for a concert tour, particularly featuring the sonorous, deep bass singers.

The lyrics are in Greek language.
Title in Greek: I Omorfia Tou Vyzantiou
Title in German: Die Schönheit von Byzanz

The work can be sung with or without the yodel solo. However, the archaic sound of yodeling adds a special mystical atmosphere.
