To me, this piece is about journeys. It's about moving on when one part of our lives comes to an end an another begins. As we go, some people stay with us - but others will exit the scene. Bond Unbroken is about the connection that we continue to have with those we have left behind, or that have left us. While they may not continue to play a prominent role in our daily lives, the relationship we have with those we love never really fades away. The performer should take time to reflect on individuals that have influenced their lives in the past.
The melody features frequent off-beats and some quarter-note triplets. While the piece is not overly challenging technically, it is fairly difficult rhythmically, and is therefore most appropriate for a more mature player. The piece is about 4:00 in duration.
