Blues for Gilbert für Vibraphon solo (ZM 22260) ist keine formale Blues-Komposition, der Komponist Mark Glentworth versucht vielmehr, seiner Stimmung Ausdruck zu verleihen, die der Tod seines Lehrers Gilbert Webster in ihm ausgelöst hat. Der spanische Pianist Jordi Vilaprinyó, sowohl in der klassischen Musik als auch im Jazz zu Hause, hat mit dieser Bearbeitung für Vibraphon und Klavier eine Bearbeitung geschaffen, die die Spannung des Werkes erhält, ja an einzelnen Stellen sogar intensiviert, ohne in den Notentext des Originals einzugreifen.
