"Blues and Ballads Suite #1" is the Suite originally published as Blues and Ballads for 8 Horns by Trombacor Music in 1986. This is the entire suite of all 3 movements, which are also available individually.

Composed by John D. Swan, this is a new version that is edited and transcribed in Sibelius notation software by Nathan Lee.

The three movements are "Wholly Carbuncle", "Slow Bean", and "Cosi's Waltz". Please see the individual listings for a sample performance of each movement. Only the "Wholly Carbuncle" sample is included here.

Arranged here for 8 Horns in F, it's a fun play for a horn choir. It can also be used in a "Conference" setting for a massed horn choir. This entire Suite is about 8:30 minutes long in performance. It can be performed at the high school and anything higher level.
