Another S.A.Bar. composition, this time of the Evensong Canticles, Responses & Amens. With only an occasional excursion towards the extremes of the range (a couple of top F's for the Sops & one Bottom G each for the Altos & Men), this should be within the range of most choirs. As ever, I have tried to set the words to music (rather than writing music & "fitting" the words) so there will be times when the 3/4 bar structure needs to be interpreted rather freely (hence it's inclusion in the "Early Intermediate" category). Once the feel of the music has been realised, though, these pieces should flow very effectively. The MP3 is a computer rendering of the start of each canticle & there will obviously need to be breath & phrasing options which do not come out in this. (To save paper, print just pages (1?) & 5-13; pages 2-4 are sample pages.
