This lilting love duet from The Tales of Hoffmann has been arranged for 2 violins with piano accompaniment. Violin 2 stays in 1st position throughout, while Violin 1 soars to 5th position in a scale-like passage, making shifting manageable for intermediate players. It is in the original key of D Major.
