This arrangement of the traditional birthday song "Happy Birthday" for concert band is perfect for orchestras that want to have a short birthday song in their repertoire, played in a lively swing style.
After a short introduction that immediately creates excitement, the theme is first played by the saxophones and horns. Then the whole orchestra joins in and the birthday song is played a second time in forte, with surprising twists at the end, before a light piano solo rounds off the arrangement (the piano solo is also included in various other parts).
