Band On the Green was written for the New Brunswick Public Schools Elementary District Band for their spring performance in the 2012-13 school year. Utilizing the first octave of notes and simple quarter and eighth note rhythms in the winds, along with sixteenth note combinations in the percussion, it still contains the traditional elements and conforms to the standard march form. This is a great piece to teach your young students about the concert march!
