7-minute Chopin-style ballade. Perfect for recitals.

This ballade does not have a nickname, but one of its melodies is from something else. The theme from measures 75-89 (and again at measures 165 through 180), which the piece is centered around, was originally written by me as an alternate tune for O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus. The words to that hymn are great, but the tune usually heard with it is dismal. "O the deep, deep love of Jesus, Vast, unmeasured, boundless, free, Rolling as a mighty ocean In its fullness over me. Underneath me, all around me, Is the current of Thy love; Leading onward, leading homeward To my glorious rest above"-those are triumphant words, celebratory words, words that deserve something more than the minor tune usually heard with this hymn. Hopefully, one day this tune will become the one associated with it. Until then, enjoy it in this piece!
