Chorus Choir, SAB Chorus - Level 3 - Digital Download

Composed by Byrd. Arranged by Steven Griffin. This edition: pdf. Lent, Renaissance. 6 pages. Steven Griffin #1207452. Published by Steven Griffin (A0.1639811).

Byrd's beautiful motet re-arranged for 3 part choir (sopranos, altos, baritones) with a piano accompaniment. This version allows choirs with fewer men to perform one of the most moving of motets in either concerts or services. Though originally a cappella, of course, the piano accompaniment helps to fill the harmonies necessarily left out by having a 3 part choir. The arrangement also uses a number of changing time signatures to help modern, amateur choirs understand where the stresses in the word underlay should come.
