Ancient sounding Gregorian Chant with guitar tablature (this is not Schubert's version). Part of the reason why I make some of my arrangements is to update ancient copyright-free scores to modern, more legible notation. In the second version I added letter names and extra 8ves and 5ths and should be played in drop D.

Tips:
1. I added commas for suggested phrase markings
2. There is no time signature, measures or rhythm values intentionally; the music is very old.
3. I recommend tuning to drop D and droning a D5 (power chord).
4. If you want to harmonize to this and sound ancient, avoid triads. Instead, use a lot of hollow sounding chords and octaves: D5, Dadd2, Dadd4, etc... I will work on making such a version because it is awesome to play.

History:
1. The "Ave Maria" chant has been a part of the liturgical repertoire for centuries and remains one of the most recognizable and revered pieces of sacred music.
2. The "Ave Maria" chant typically follows the melodic style of plainchant, with free rhythm and a focus on the natural flow of the text.
3. The text of the "Ave Maria" in Gregorian chant is in Latin, derived from the greeting of the Angel Gabriel to Mary in the Gospel of Luke (Luke 1:28) and Elizabeth's greeting in Luke 1:42.
