I arrange the Korean folk song Arirang into a piano piece after my Korean trip last month. Arirang is more than a folk song! With a very simple melody, it is a living, breathing entity that encapsulates the soul of Korea. The composer of Arirang is unknown, it was passing down by mouth. The original song is most likely a waltz, but I transform it into a quick dynamic jazz beat.
