great arrangement, bad engraving/printing
My subject line really tells it all - this arrangement is brilliant. It will be the grand finale of our Wesley hymn festival this year. Labenske used wonderful compositional art to create a compelling rendering of this text. It is truly at an artist level. It is easier than many classical oratorio movements yet is does have challenges for a good choir to reach. My BIG criticism is that the font or typeface used is TINY - like 6 or 7 point. Using a copy machine to enlarge it did not work, as to get the text readable, the whole page would not fit on standard paper. I almost gave up, but really wanted to use it for the hymn festival. I believed in the anthem enough that I transferred it painstakingly through Sibelius software to enlarge the text, and removed the screechy descant at the end, too, sorry. Now my choir is enjoying learning it and they are very motivated because it is a favorite hymn. Mr Labenske, please re-engrave so that this sees more use?
