The first arrangement I worked on, Alphys’ theme has an innocent and quirky mood to it. This was further emphasized by the stuttering, staccato phrases where the beat is intentionally misplaced, in contrast with the more grounded romantic expression of her feelings towards a certain leader of the Royal Guard.
