This book includes a CD-ROM containing both Audio and General MIDI Files of the 500+ accompaniments included in the text, each with an interesting and engaging arrangement coupled with the piano part. Designed for collegiate non-keyboard music majors with little or no keyboard experience, the easy-to-use text contains 26 units, each intended to be covered in one week, thus fulfilling two semesters or three quarters of study. Theory, technique, sight-reading, repertoire, harmonization, improvisation, and ensemble activities are taught thoroughly and consistently throughout the text. Alfred's Group Piano for Adults, Book 2
This is not only a very fine vol. 2 to book 1, but I especially appreciated the fact that even though this one was backorder for several weeks - the team at SheetMusicPlus went out of their way to get it to me before I went overseas only in just two weeks time! They must have found a copy laying around somewhere in their wear house or something, all I know is I sure,do appreciate the fact that I now have both vol. 1 and 2 of this very nice piano instruction set. Thank you so very much SMP for your extra effort in getting me the vol. 2 so fast!! And, thanks for your extended kindness in sending me that gift certificate, too!!! I look forwards to enjoying and learning from more piano books now. I am one very happy customer.......

Alfred's Group Piano for Adults, Book 2
I have both book 1 and book 2, so I am very satisfied with not only this but the fact that both books are perfectly written, and the performance CD that comes with it really helps one learn the pieces in both books, book 2 is just an extension of book 1, book 2 very progressively takes you to the early advanced level of piano. JS Bach's Solfegietto in c minor is presented about 3/4 of the way through book 2. So, that should give you an idea as to the depth of the materials covered in book 2. It get's into great details with all of the different major and minor keys, scales, chords, and for each piece more than enough theory is presented. These books 1 and 2 can not only be used in a adult group piano setting, but can also be used to in a self - taught piano setting, for hard working very motivated piano enthusiasts. Two thumbs up and 5 stars for this set of books, plus the composers are well known and very outstanding in composting - they did a fantastic job on this work!
