I wrote this in 2012 for the 100th anniversary of the Alexandria Citizens Band, a community band based in Alexandria, Virginia, founded in 1912. I had played with the band when I was working on a long-term contract in northern Virginia in the 1990s, and when the anniversary came up I remembered what a great group of people it is. The piece is a short, traditional march in 6/8.
