Arranged for Trombone Quintet with optional Trombone Sextet, this lively swing setting brings a fresh ensemble treatment to the classic standard. Written in a straight-ahead swing style with no improvisation required, the chart focuses on tight ensemble interplay, rhythmic precision, and stylistic articulation.
The writing includes engaging technical passages and playful rhythmic figures, providing fun challenges for performers while remaining accessible for well-prepared ensembles. The optional sixth trombone part adds depth and harmonic weight but is not essential for performance.
