This piece was originally composed for flute and piano in March 2022, three weeks after Putin's Russian Army invaded Ukraine. Amid the terrible events and the senseless loss of life and untold suffering of the people of Ukraine, it's a gentle and humble call for peace.
In October 2025, I arranged it for two flutes and piano. The title of the sheet music carries two messages - first, from the composer: "Thinking of, and sending support for Ukrainians - from the United Kingdom" and secondly, a quotation by Leonard Bernstein: “This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before.” Two audio tracks (Mp3s) (performance track with flutes, and piano backing track) can be downloaded for FREE from here (or play along to the YouTube video): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10tIguQ-3xZGdcR3oNtOF9ZJ39KX8fDhx?usp=sharing.
