The journey of grief is improvised from start to finish and we never know when the trip will end or where the road will lead. The only thing that will move us from the beginning of the road to the end is time, and for that crossing we need a map: A Map of Time. There are innumerable theories and opinions regarding the stages of grief, but I focused on three: denial, lament, and acceptance. Since this is a piece about grief, and the time it takes to grieve, it is only natural that it should be expressed through the temporal medium of music.
