Yamaha unveils five new DTX kits

Yamaha has introduced several entry-level and mid-range kits to its popular DTX line at Musikmesse.
Based on the DTX900 series, The DTX500K, DTX520K, DTX540K, DTX700K and DTX750K models bring Yamaha’s acclaimed Textured Cellular Silicon technology to the mid-range electronic drum market.
The new DTX700 module provides the DTX700K and DTX750K kits with a whole host of new capabilities and features, including over 1200 high quality acoustic drum, cymbal, and percussion voices, as well as multi layered samples of Yamaha’s acoustic drums and a variety of sounds borrowed from the Motif XF synthesizer.
As well as a wide variety of built-in preset kits, the DTX700 also allows the user to create bespoke and custom kits using the onboard flash memory, where up to 64MB of new sounds can be imported and stored directly into the module via the USB device port.
The DTX750K features a complete set of Three- Zone Textured Cellular Silicone pads, which deliver intricate dynamic control and feel for players. They are also the quietest pads ever developed. A newly designed RS700 rack is used to mount the drum and cymbal pads and the DTX700K has been designed on a smaller scale using the more compact RS500 rack system.
The DTX500K, DTX520K and DTX540K versions are powered by the DTX500 module with over 440 voices, including samples from Yamaha’s acoustic kit lines. These sets boast a range of great features and sounds with innovative learning and practice tools.
The sound module contains 449 sounds and many creative recording and practice options are available, while a simple to use recording function is ideal for composing, practice and learning.? ?
The DTX500K sets a new standard for entry-level kits, replacing the successful DTXplorer and brings even more playability, improved sounds and learning features to first time buyers.
The DTX520K and the DTX540K models feature a newly designed Three-zone Cymbal pad, which is used for the crash cymbal and Hi Hat. The DTX540K also features a full set of Textured Cellular Silicone pads, delivering quality dynamic control at a new price point.
