Yamaha debuts new models at NAMM 2011

Yamaha has unleashed a plethora of new instruments on the industry at Yamaha: YTS475 Tenor Saxophonethe NAMM 2011 show in California.
Using the event as a platform to launch new guitars, drums, orchestral lines and music production training workshops, the manufacturer promises that there is something for everyone in its new range.
For the drummers there is a groundbreaking drum set – the new Club Custom – and guitar players are sure to appreciate the fantastic new APX, Pacifica and A-Series models.
Yamaha reveals that both the APX and CPX guitar range has been given a complete revamp and is now available in different finishes, while the new APX1000 and CPX1000 both feature the SRT pickup system for improved performance.
Also being unveiled at NAMM is the brand new A-Series guitar which has been designed to incorporate a high-level of playability with the latest technology to ensure it offers an all-round studio quality sound.
Elsewhere at the show, Yamaha is demonstrating its new Stage Custom Yamaha: YPC32 PiccoloBirch drum set. Featuring an all-Birch shell, the instrument produces a clean and defined sound.
Alternatively, the new Club Custom drum kit is a model designed for professional use which is constructed using only premium quality Kapur shells and boasts a ‘swirl’ painted finish.
The eye-catching retro design is not just for show however as the kit offers a unique sound and feel thanks to the groundbreaking swirl lacquer finish. It delivers a practical “sonic advantage” allowing the Kapur shells to vibrate more effectively, delivering extra flexibility for the creative drummer.
Yamaha has also announced the launch of a series of new Electronic Drum sets mounted on Acoustic Drum Hardware.
With unparalleled flexibility of Yamaha Hardware, the power of Yamaha DTX modules and the feel of Yamaha’s DTX-Pad, the new sets are design to fulfil the needs of every drummer.
The manufacturer also used NAMM as the platform to launch a number of new instruments to its orchestral line. These included new saxophones, trumpets, bass, trombone, piccolo and Euphonium models.
