“The Wedgewood Rooms has run showcases for bands local to the Portsmouth area for over a decade, providing a valuable resource for the music scene and offering bands experience playing in a professional environment at a nationally recognised venue.
All bands are paid and any band of any age or genre is welcome to contact us for a show. There is a competition element to it as music industry judges provide feedback for artists and their (and the crowd’s) favourites go on to play further shows, with the overall favourite receiving a band startup package with an equivalent value around the £1,000 mark. Musicroom Portsmouth are also sponsoring the event by provding the winners with £400 Musicroom Vouchers!
