10. Acoustic lounge style

Chilled out, classy and pulled off with minimal fuss, this acoustic guitar lead cover by Ra-On strips back the timbre and silliness to somehow salvage a smooth, lounge-ready cover from the K-Pop juggernaut original.
9. Remixed by electronica producer Ghost Loops style (featuring Stephanie C)

Created for Indaba Music, this is another laid-back reworking of Psy’s hyperactive Korean hit by electronica producer Ghost Loops, with vocals by Stephanie C.
8. A cappella group Pentatonix style

It was only a matter of time before YouTube vocal sensations Pentatonix put their own a capella spin on Gangnam Style – impressive for a track so reliant on its effects and samples.
7. Tech drum cover style
[youtube id=”dzSTt4fLtf0″ width=”600″ height=”350″]
Travis Barker brought drum covers into the mainstream with his version of Solja Boy. Since then, almost every major hit has been given the drum rearrangement treatment. In the video above Matt Harwood-Jones makes the most of the song’s simple and repetitive structure with a nice and varied display of shuffling beats, paradiddles and fills that render Psy’s original as nothing more than a backing track for the action taking place on the kit.
6. Upright piano style

Simple and effective, this one person and a piano version of the infectious Korean hit plucks the few hints of delicacy and harmonic interest that exist from the original.
5. Rock guitar and bass style
[youtube id=”mznbZtJ7us8″ width=”600″ height=”350″]
Nic and Dale from the band, Jade Monkey, dial up the gain and treat Gangnam Style to a guitar and bass lead hard rock rendition that’s surprisingly listenable!
4. Multi-track bedroom style
[youtube id=”xsF5CchOnhc” width=”600″ height=”350″]
MysteryGuitarMan puts his own twist on Psy’s hit from the comfort of his home studio, multi-tracking some bass, acoustic guitar, maracas and more while providing the percussion with some tidy beatboxing.
3. Eton style
