A number of sources are reporting that Susan Boyle could be heading for the bright lights of the West End to perform in the 25th anniversary of hit musical Les Miserables.
Boyle is said to be a favourite for the part of Fantine in the musical and would be required to perform the same song that shot her to fame last year if she is offered the role in the commemorative show.
The singer, who shot to fame after performing her version of I Dreamed a Dream from the show in Britain’s Got Talent, is said to be a favourite for a part in the longest-running show in West End history.
Boyle has enjoyed huge success since coming second in the reality show, as her first album became the biggest selling recording in the world for 2009 just six weeks after its release and went on to shift 8.3 million copies.
A source told the Sun: “The tenth anniversary of the show was released as a video and CD and are keen to do a similar thing for the quarter century.”
Les Miserables is a musical composed in 1980 by Claude-Michel Schonberg. It follows the same plot as a novel, written in 1862 by Victor Hugo and set in early 19th-century France which explores the stories of characters as they struggle for redemption and revolution.
