Roland has used its presence at the NAMM 2011
show to introduce a new V Piano, guitar synthesiser and accordion.
In addition to this, there was also a debut for some new V Drums, Atelier organ, Boss pedals, Cakewalk production software and the latest version of the V Link MIDI-to-video system.
The instrument manufacturer is currently gearing up for the start of the NAMMÂ event, which is taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center, California.
And it has used the evening before the doors open to introduce the public to a number of new instruments that it will also be displaying on its stand over the course of the four-day event, Mi-Pro reports.
Unveiling the V Piano Grand, Roland enlisted the help of concert pianist Yana Reznik to show off the “multi-dimensional sound” it offers.
Roland says that the new V Piano Grand features a number of updates to its predecessor, with a new hammer-action keyboard, enhanced pedal sensitivity and a built-in sound system.
Indeed, the original V Piano came with a separate sound system which was designed to amplify the instrument, however, the manufacturer has now adopted a built in system for the Grand model.
The result, Roland claims, is an even more accurate, natural acoustic piano sound picture for both the player and the audience.
Following the unveiling of the new piano, Roland introduced the audience to a GR guitar synthesizer floor unit, along with its first digital diatonic accordion, which is a new addition to the Roland V Accordion series, according to the news provider.
