To celebrate the publication of his beautifully written, literary memoir Grant & I: Inside and Outside The Go-Betweens on the 14th of August, Robert Forster will be visiting the UK on a seven date book tour.
Starting on 5th September in Nottingham, and ending on 12th November in Manchester, Robert will be touring the country giving readings, discussing his life, his work, his time with Grant McLennan, participating in Q&A sessions, signing books, and perhaps playing a song or two.

PRAISE FOR GRANT AND I
“The truest and strangest poet of our generation”
“Few rock artists have been remembered as perceptively and unflinchingly, yet also lovingly, in prose”
“an insightful history of a band that won over critics and gained a worldwide following without enjoying the commercial success many believed they deserved, as well as being a colourful overview of the 1980s indie music industry in Australia, Europe and the US.”
“wonderful insight into the punk, post-punk and ’90s music scenes, detailing the band’s brushes with REM, Nick Cave’s The Birthday Party, Lloyd Cole and Scottish cult act Orange Juice.”
“a fascinating glimpse into a life richly lived and a key friendship along the way.”
Courier Mail, Brisbane
“the tale is passionate, funny, unflinchingly honest and ultimately very moving”
The Saturday Age
“They weren’t big on complimenting each other, Forster points out, but one feels sure McLennan would nod in approval of this absorbing appraisal of their illustrious careers.”
