Musicroom is dedicated to helping you provide your child with a rich and rounded education. Since lockdown started we have provided 27 free outstanding, fun and rewarding music lessons for Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 in conjunction with Rhinegold Education. These lessons are simple to use with no previous musical expertise required, and can be taught from home or used as inspiration for classroom teaching. Key Stages 1 & 2
Lesson 1: Musical Sounds and Ostinatos

A lesson that discovers Spirituals through performing and listening.

A lesson on the art of improvisation, showing you how to develop musical ideas by drawing on a range of musical structures, styles, genres and traditions.
Lesson 10: Rhythm and Metre
A lesson about rhythm and metre which will show how you can identify and use the inter-related dimensions of music expressively and with increasing sophistication, including musical devices such as pulse, metre, and rhythm.
Lesson 11: Words and Music
A lesson exploring the relationship between words and music, teaching you to listen with increasing discrimination to a wide range of music.
Lesson 12: Film Music
A Key Stage 3 lesson about Film Music, exploring improvisation and composition along with how once can extend musical ideas by drawing on a range of musical structures, styles, genres and traditions.
