Renowned ukulele player releases album

The renowned ukulele player, Steven Sproat, has recently released his Absolute Beginners Ukulele - Omnibus Editionfourth album, Full Circle.
Steven first started playing ukulele when he was just 10 years old, and has been a singer-songwriter throughout his adult life. Combining guitar and clear, friendly vocals with his unique blend of ukulele, Steven’s music has received airplay on BBC Radio 2, BBC Scotland and other stations in the UK and abroad.
Steven is considered to be one of the UK’s finest Ukulele exponents, having developed his own style over 38 years of playing.
This reputation and experience helped to propel his career as an author and respected teacher; Steven has written three books, published by Music Sales Ltd, and his workshops are hugely popular.
In addition to workshops, Stevens teaching skills are in demand and his pupils include several well known TV and radio personalities, such as TV comic Harry Hill, broadcaster Nicky Campbell and renowned actor Sir Tom Steven Sproat: Ukelounge DVD - The Complete Step-By-Step Guide To Playing The UkuleleCourtenay.
The ukulele has been enjoying something of a resurgence in recent years, with a large uptake in schools due to the fact that the ukulele is easy and fun to play, as well as being a relatively cheap instrument to buy. The instruments are even making an appearance in the City, where companies are hosting ukulele sessions to help teambuilding and as an antidote to stress.
So if you thought the ukulele had had its day, think again. Listen to the title song from Steven’s new album below, and browse our ukulele pages if you want to have a go. Have fun!
