Queen and Michael Jackson duets 'out next year'

A series of tracks featuring Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson could be due for release next year, it has been revealed.
Brian May, the lead guitarist of Queen, told the Evening Standard that the band are working on tracks recorded at Jackson’s house in the 1980s.
“Michael [Jackson] used to come and see us when we were on tour in the States,” he explained. “He and Freddie became close friends, close enough to record a couple of tracks together at Michael’s house, tracks which have never seen the light of day.”
He added that the tracks will be ready in the new year and said that after talking to Jackson’s estate, “they’re happy” for the band to go ahead.
May, who picked up the reissue of the year award for Queen at the Classic Rock Roll Of Honour ceremony in London last week, had already revealed that the band are to release a new album of old demos featuring the late singer Freddie Mercury that have never been heard before.
However, it was not confirmed whether the Michael Jackson duets will be included in this packaged album or if they will be released separately.
Queen’s longevity and popularity were further strengthened at the weekend when The X Factor’s theme was Queen versus Lady Gaga, featuring songs by two of the most colourful stage performers in music history.
Kitty, who was voted out of the show last night (November 13th), sang Don’t Stop Me Now, while Janet Devlin sang Somebody To Love. Marcus Collins, meanwhile, chose to stick with his old rock and roll style with his take on Another One Bites the Dust.
Amelia Lilly was voted in by the public as a replacement to Frankie Cocozza, who was unceremoniously fired from the show for his backstage antics. She sailed through to next week’s show with the dramatic Queen anthem The Show Must Go On.
