POMPULELE Festival CONFIRMED lineup


Pompulele Festival is Portsmouth’s first Ukulele Festival, brought to you by ‘The Pompey Pluckers’ and ‘Musicroom Portsmouth’ taking place on the Bank Holiday Weekend from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th August 2011 at various venues around Southsea & Portsmouth, in Hampshire. We are delighted to be working in conjuction with Rowans Hospice who will benefit from ticket sales over the weekend.

Friday 26th August, Day: FREE Ukulele workshop with guest artist Steven Sproat at Musicroom Portsmouth between 11am-4pm
Friday 26th August, Eve: * £3 Entrance fee for Steven Sproat plus support from the Pompey Pluckers plus audience participation at ‘The Edge of The Wedge’ Albert Road. From 8pm onwards.
Saturday 27th Aug, Day: * £3 Entrance fee for the Ukathon plus guest performances at Trinity Church, Albert Road, Southsea. Between 12pm-5pm.

Saturday 27th Aug, Eve: FREE with a suggested £3 Rowans Hospice Donation. Our Headlining event ‘The Anything Goes Orchestra’ plus support from ‘Q-Ukulele’ and ‘The Pompey Pluckers’ at The Phoenix Pub, Duncan Road, Southsea. Starts 8pm till late.
Musicoom will be in attendance selling Ukuleles, Accessories and the Ukathon Songbook.
Sunday 28th Aug, Day: FREE Ukulele busking on the Southsea Promenade.
Sunday 28th Aug Eve: * £3 Entrance fee for the ‘Tongues and Grooves’ event at The Florence Arms, Southsea. Music from The Pompey Pluckers. 8pm – 10.30pm
* Tickets will be available from Musicroom in Portsmouth 02392 863792 and the Edge of the Wedge.
Charity
Proceeds from the two evening events and the Ukathon go to Rowans Hospice.

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
