The nominees for the 2013 Ivor Novello Awards have been announced.
Now into its 58th year, the Ivors celebrate and recognise the very best in British songwriting and composition. Previous recent winners include Adele, Elton John, Fatboy Slim, Blur and Goldfrapp.
Following another globally successful year for the musical stars of the UK and Ireland, the nominations reflect a range of artists and genre, from breakthrough acts such as Alt-J and Jake Bugg to more established names like Plan B, Olly Murs and Bat For Lashes.
Music Sales writer John Harle has been nominated in the Best Score for Television Broadcast category for his music to Lucian Freud: A Painted Life which aired on BBC Two in February 2012.
