When it comes to product launches, Roland have been rather prolific at this year’s Musikmesse, and the musical electronics giant have continued to expand their influence over the Frankfurt show with the announcement of a new, mid-range electronic drum kit series, the TD-15KV V-Tour.
Aimed at drummers seeking stage-ready power at a wallet conscious cost, the TD-15KV inherits the “SuperNATURAL” and “Behaviour Modelling” features of it’s high-spec flagship sibling, the TD-30K.
The TD-15KV features 100 kits onboard, 50 of which are preset with another 50 ready to be tweaked by users. Roland have included a “Quick Edit” function to make tuning, muffling and editing as fast and easy as possible, with sounds transportable too via USB.
The sound set’s sound module is fully stocked with professionally recorded sounds and samples, making up a diverse sound library covering a wide variety of musical genres and styles.
Making use of Roland’s advanced dual-trigger sensor technology, the TD-15 comes with the new PDX-100, lightweight, mesh head V-Pads for the snare and toms, with metal rim hoops and tensionable heads. Dual mounted, these drums can be easily positioned and set to match any player’s preference.
With an enhanced kick drum pad, realistic feel hi-hats and Roland’s acclaimed V-Cymbal crash and ride included, the TD-15KV Tour Series could be the adaptable, mid-range solution digital drummers have been waiting for.
A custom, four-leg stand, MDS-9V, will also be launched alongside the new Tour Series kit.
