Blackstar are no longer the new kids on the block. Having burst onto the scene in 2008, the company, founded by two former Marshall R&D experts, have never looked back with an ever-growing reputation based on their great products, build quality and boutique tone.
Now one of the leading names in effects pedals and amplification, Blackstar are set to continue their unstoppable ascent with their biggest product launch ever at this year’s Musikmesse show in Frankfurt, Germany.
So far all we can tell you is that it’s an amplifier, but going off the teaser video below, starring session guitar legend Jamie Humphries, it’s clear that with their new release the Northampton based company aren’t resting on their laurels.
The clip has been dissected and analysed on blogs and music forums across the web, with the amp’s flashing lights pinpointed as a major hint. Could this be Blackstar’s first foray into onboard effects or are we to be offered even more tonal options and flexibility at the touch of a switch?
More rumours abound that this may not be Blackstar’s only release at this year’s show either. A new line of practice amps, pedals or even a new entry level range could be on the cards according to the online gear gossip colums.
Could this be Blackstar’s biggest product lunch yet in terms of variety as well as scale?
