The Nightmare Before Christmas
Tim Burton’s 1993 The Nightmare before Christmas is a true Halloween movie classic. This stop-motion animated musical dark fantasy directed by Henry Selick and tells the story of Jack Skellington, the King of Halloween Town and dubbed “Pumpkin King” who stumbles upon Christmas Town. Jack becomes obsessed with celebrating the holiday, calling Santa Claus “Sandy Claws” and convincing fellow citizens of Halloween Town to take over Christmas operations. The craftmanship of the team behind the movie and Danny Elfman’s score made this movie the hit that it continues to be today.
