Today is the 50^th anniversary of the first broadcast of The Beatles’ Love Me Do, the song that would help to propel the fab four into Beatlemania and pop music history.

As well as being the first Beatles song to be broadcasted on public radio, Love Me Do is also memorable for the use of a harmonica, played back then by John Lennon.
