As part of National Learn To Play Day
on Saturday June 24th
Musicroom, the go-to high street destination for all things musical, including sheet music, instruments, advice and exam guides – are celebrating Learn To Play Day on Saturday 24th June with a series of free events for all ages and abilities. From Exeter to York, you can book a free lesson in a range of instruments, including the guitar, piano, ukulele, drums and pBuzz.
We want you to pick up and learn something new; some stores will be creating their very own ‘house bands’ for the day with performances by new band mates before closing time. There will also be special guests in attendance to offer lessons; as well as in-store competitions to win some very special prizes.

Check out the London store for Guitar and Piano lessons on Saturday 24th June. Lessons are available from 11am–5pm. (LIMITED AVAILABILITY) There are 13 slots available for Guitar and Piano, each of which is 20 minutes long. Lessons will be aimed at beginners and will consist of teaching you 12 bar blues on a Guitar; as well as a basic tune on the piano. You are welcome to bring your own instruments or those available in store. |

As musical education in UK schools diminishes, getting involved in music is less available to many; Learn To Play Day hopes to open up opportunities for all ages. Learn To Play Day continues to grow every year, with events planned nationally. Offering free taster lessons on a musical instrument at hundreds of UK venues, Learn To Play Day creates learning spaces for people who have never before had the opportunity to pick up an instrument, or who are lapsed players keen to start again. Learn To Play Day is the annual flagship event of the UK based charity Music for All and Musicroom – part of the Music Sales Group – is a key sponsor and delivery partner.
