Lady Gaga approached to front Queen

Lady Gaga could become the new face of legendary rock band Queen if negotiations between the two are successful.
Queen’s guitarist Brian May told the Daily Express that they have approached Lady Gaga to become the band’s lead vocalist when they go on tour.
He said the band is keen to solve “the singer problem” before they think about heading back out onto the road.
Since Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991 the band has continued to perform, but a collaboration with Paul Rodgers ended in 2009.
“We get a lot of offers to work with other people. I worked with Lady Gaga and she’s very creative and is someone we’ve talked about singing, fronting the band with. She’s not just a singer, she writes her own material,” he told the news provider at the BMI awards recently.
The guitarist has already collaborated with the Bad Romance singer on the single You & I. But May added that he is also thinking about other possible singers to front the band.
“We have talked about doing duets with other people and in a strange way I almost pressed the yes button,” he explained. “We were debating the idea of a TV show where we have all these guest stars. We didn’t press it today but we are still looking at it. Lady Gaga has said she would like to do something with us.”
It is a logical thought, as Gaga’s stage presence and extravagant wardrobe harks back to the flamboyant style of Freddie Mercury.
Queen received an Icon award at the BMI, which comes in the 20th anniversary year of Mercury’s death. May, who has been the band’s guitarist since it formed in 1971, is working on a film of Mercury’s life as well as a movie adaptation of the huge West End hit We Will Rock You.
