The event, which took place at Haydock Park Racecourse Exhibition Centre on Sunday May 15th, attracted a record number of guests, organisers have revealed.
“All the dealers I spoke to were very happy with their excellent sales figures and I saw lots of guitars, amps, bags and boxes leaving the show,” event organiser Peter Hoarty told Mi-Pro.
The 14th edition of the show saw a total of 101 exhibitors displaying a whole range of equipment, with instruments on offer ranging from a £22,000 PRS model to a £6 ukulele.
Mr Hoarty announced his delight at the way the guitar show turned out.
“This was our second year at Haydock and once again we were delighted with the venue. We had made a few changes based on what we learned last year and we had a lot of positive comments about the parking, load-in, layout and facilities,” he added.
Meanwhile, earlier this year the news provider reported on the start of National Music Store Weekend in the US. While currently a US-only event, the publication is keen for a similar celebration on home shores.
Run by US trade body NAMM, the event is designed to encourage existing and aspiring musicians to visit their local music stores and experience the enjoyment and many proven benefits of playing music.
The organisation explained that, whether musicians have been playing music for years or are new players, local music stores boast expert advice from fully-trained, professional staff.
