Gallagher influenced by 60s Rockers

Liam Gallagher
Liam Gallagher has revealed during a radio interview that his first solo album has been influenced by the sounds of 60s glam rock outfit T-Rex.
Speaking to New York-based station RXP, the former Oasis frontman and outspoken guitarist has made the announcement ahead of his debut release with his new – currently unnamed – band.
The new material is due to be made available later this year, with Liam hoping to release a number of songs during the next few months.
He told the radio station: “There’s a bit of T-Rex and Bowie on there, I’m telling you there’s a good mix of psychedelia but there’s some good rock ‘n’ roll tunes on there as well.
“We’re going to record half-way through April, we’ve got three weeks to do some tunes and if it’s all cool we’ll go back in June and finish it off.”
In his former guise as a member of Oasis,  Liam jointly recorded a total of seven studio albums and released 32 singles and so it will be interesting to hear more of his own, individual music.
