Musicroom York are the latest of our stores to announce their plans for Learn To Play Day.
On 31st March, the store will be offering free taster lessons on a variety of instruments, from the bass guitar to woodwind, brass and beyond!
Everyone is welcome to come in and try something new, or get tips and advice from our experienced instore experts.
The day is open to all ages and playing levels, even those who’ve previously never even thought about picking up a recorder.
If you know someone who wants to learn to play music but doesn’t know where to start, or if you have a hankering to try a new instrument, then Learn To Play Day is the perfect excuse to let your curiosity get the better of you and have a go.
In addition to the lessons, the team at musicroom York will be joined by three fantastic guests.
Renowned saxophonist, Snake Davis (pictured above during his time in M People), will be running a live workshop in the morning as well as signing autographs and speaking of his experiences working with Take That, Paul McCartney, Beyoncé Knowles and other top class artists.
Alan Morrison, a top-class Bandsman, will be appearing in the afternoon. Alan was principal cornet player with both the Grimethorpe Colliery and Brighouse & Rastrick brass bands, before becoming Musical Director for the latter.
Master Craftsman, Peter Pollard, will be on hand all day to demonstrate products and offer hints, tips and give free advice.
In addition to all of this, musicroom York will be offering special offers and competitions on the day to all participants, as well as special, Learn to Play Day goody bags!
