I've taken the old Zemer Atik tune and arranged it for intermediate orchestra.
It uses the Phrygian Dominant scale in the key of G minor, so it's somehwat symmetrical on the melody, and there's an optional violin solo at the beginning to start us off in the celebratory mood.
Everyone gets a turn playing the melody while painting the scene of a Jewish celebration. Consider this if your string players need a bit of a challenge for their next concert.
