This is a vocal jazz arrangement of the Billy Joel song, Zanzibar from his 52nd Street album, written for SATB with rhythm section. Written bass and drum parts are included and the piano/vocal score includes chords so a guitar can be added if desired. Joel's piano break has been transcribed for vocals and is the most challenging part of the chart. The Freddie Hubbard bebop trumpet solo section from the original has been included as an option for a vocal scat or an instrumental solo. That is the only place where the piano part is written with slash notation to allow for improvised comping. The chart is challenging, but well worth the effort! The 30-second demo includes mm. 113-120, then mm.128-137.
