Songwriter and composer Peter Skellern was a great writer of many truly sensitive love songs, with You’re A Lady being the most famous by far. This evergreen was originally performed with brass band backing, making it an obvious choice for a brass band arrangement.

Après avoir reçu une solide formation au Collège de Musique Guildhall Londres, il travaille plusieurs années durant comme compositeur la BBC. Il collabore également avec Andrew Lloyd Webber, l’un des plus brillants compositeurs de comédies musicales. Peter Skellern a essentiellement composé des chansons d’amour lyriques dont la plus célèbre est You’re a Lady. Wim Stalman a réalisé un arrangement particulièrement brillant et fidèle la version originale.
