The song has been covered by: Gene Autry, Johnny Cash, Bing Crosby, Doris Day, Aretha Franklin, Loretta Lynn, Chet Atkins, Ray Charles and even by Christina Perri. In the year 2000 this song experienced a resurgence when it was used in the Coen Brothers movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" In this light-hearted String Trio Arrangement, the 2nd Violin is featured, because he/she plays the melody for most of the duration. Now that's a ray of sunshine!
