Composed by Miranda Lambert. Arranged by David Maddux. This edition: pdf. Country. 13 pages. David Maddux #1415260. Published by David Maddux (A0.1855717).
The title of this song came from a text message. When Netflix commissioned Miranda Lambert to write a song for Queer Eye Season 6 — set in her home state of Texas — she texted her gay brother Luke asking for cool phrases. “Y’all Means All” was one of them. Lambert then co-wrote the song with Shane McAnally, one of the few openly gay figures in mainstream country, making the collaboration itself a statement. Released New Year’s Eve 2021 alongside the season premiere, the song became an instant LGBTQ+ country anthem — exuberant, proudly Texan, and utterly unselfconscious in its welcome. This TTBB arrangement, the title number of the Heartland Men’s Chorus revue, delivers it full-throttle: solo voice, handclaps, and full chorus in a roof-raising declaration that out in the country, y’all means all.
