With a Grateful Heart and Joyful Song by Don Besig 4-Part - Sheet Music

By Don Besig

A gentle rhythmic “groove” establishes a positive spirit immediately in this general worship offering. The lightly syncopated opening theme announces the focus of “a life lived in praise and thanksgiving.” Inspiring!

With a Grateful Heart and Joyful Song

This is a delightful Thanksgiving anthem both musically and lyrically; however, I had to rewrite the harmonics of many phrases in order to accomodate the vocal range of my choir members. It would have been much better if it had been written in the key of E flat major and modulated into F major. Being able to view the complete anthem before purchasing it would have also been appreciated. We have enjoyed singing Besig/Price anthems immensely in the past and hope that this comment re key changes is forwarded to Don Besig and Nancy Price for their consideration when writing any new anthems.
